2023 Sale Report

Ben Nevis Angus Stud NSW sold 75/76 yearling bulls to $45,000 (Lot 29 Ben Nevis Tribune T302 to Roseleigh Angus and Genetics Australia) to average $11,366.

Despite tough seasonal conditions in Northern NSW the bulls sold right across the country from Richmond and Eidsvold in the north, down to Tasmania and King island in the south and out to painted desert country at Oodnadatta in the west.

The 12-14 mo component of the draft were highly sought after and averaged $12,660 with strong competition for the outcross marbling genetics in the Ben Nevis Rambo sons who averaged $15,300 topping the sire groups.

13 bulls sold into studs including Lot 29 Ben Nevis Tribune (By Ben Nevis Rambo) for $45,000 to Roseleigh Angus and Genetics Australia, Lot 30 Ben Nevis Tsar T215 (by Ben Nevis Rambo) to Bimbadeen Brangus for $32,000, Lot 31 Ben Nevis Thor (By Ben Nevis Podium) to Merit Farms for $24,000, Lot 33 Ben Nevis Trojan (By Paratrooper) to New River Beef, Lot 10 Ben Nevis Top Tier (By Te Mania Pythagorus) for $16,000 to Bald Blair Angus and Lot 4 Ben Nevis Tank (By Ben Nevis Quantico) for $14,000 to Elrose Brahman Stud.

Return buyers featured in the sale results with the more arid sections of Australia voting their continued confidence in the use of yearling bulls including 13 bulls to Neales River Livestock, Oodnadatta SA, and 5 yearling bulls to Roberts Grazing Co in Springsure Queensland. New volume buyers included Kapunda Pastoral Company securing 6 bulls.
