We strongly believe in the power of pedigree and female lines. While we have embraced a world of genomics and objective measurement we have never lost sight of the type of cow that has blessed us with good fortune for over three quarters of a century. These donors are a tribute to my father and an appreciation of everything he taught us- they are our edge.
Maternal sister to Jean M30, N238 has been selected to join our Donor team to create export quality eggs for both US, Canada, South America and Europe. Her embryos will be on sale at the 2025 World Angus Forum Frozen Genetics Auction. She is the maternal sister to Jean M30, and a full sister to Ben Nevis Newsflash that featured in Breeders genetics and was purchased by Bannaby Angus as out top price bull our 2018 sale for $28,000. Newsflash sired the $72,000 Ben Nevis Rambo R230 who in turn sired the $230,000 Banquet Tom Cruise sold in 2024. Jean N238 has over $130,000 in progeny sales for us.
Our new young gun dam boasting the best of our Ben Nevis genetics for quality and performance. She is the daughter of Ben Nevis Jean P59 who is a full sister to N238 (pictured here), Stud Sire Ben Nevis Newsflash, and maternal sister to Ben Nevis Jean M30 who are all progeny of the record breaking Ben Nevis Jean H215. She has been identified to produce export quality embryos for the US, Canada and South America and will be collected this year. Her embryo’s will sell at the World Angus Forum Frozen genetics Auction in May 2025. This female represents the engine room of our breeding program.

This is Ben Nevis Dormist N202. Her first son sold NBN21S227 to Middlebrook Pastoral for $28k and was used in our progeny test and her second son NBN22T457 sold to Hancock Pastoral for $28k. At this stage she has the best yearling bull calf, the heaviest bull calf we have ever had at 450 kgs at 6 months (100 kgs above the av). Her two daughters have recently entered the Donor pen on type and performance of their first calves NBN22T461 and NBN22T459. She is big and slick.
Our other famous bloodline is the Geranium and Q369 goes right back to the great Ben Nevis Geranium E40. She is a full brother to the $26,000 ben Nevis Nirvana that sold to Innesdale Angus in 2018. Her first Et calves by Banquet Quarterpounder are exquisite. She offers the type of skin and type we love with extra do-ability, good feet and performance under the hide.
Ben Nevis Jean P303 is a daughter of Donor L115 (pictured here), she is a prolific donor and we sold 2 of her eggs recently at the Molong Flood Charity for $5300 per egg. She offers a perfect foot plus extra thump and do-ability.

SHE SELLS OCT 13, 2020 AT OUR MATURE FEMALE DISPERSAL. K2’s dam Doryx H93 has been one of our most prolific matrons always having a bull in the top pen at a sale or heifers in the show pen. When K2’s heifer calf placed 2nd in her contemporary for growth and IMF and she calved down a cracking bull calf we knew we had to fast track this dam line. They are big capacity, easy doing and ultra feminine up front- just our type.
SHE SELLS OCT 13, 2020 AT OUR MATURE FEMALE DISPERSAL. Excuse the pun but the genes in the Jean family are very strong. L115’s dam is a maternal sister to Jean H215. The most awe inspiring cow to see in the flesh she boasts the best heifer calf of the 2020 Autumn calf drop. Massive capacity with a big rib, top and quarter and a lovely wedge front with overall poise.
Bandetta who descends back to the great Forres Burnette A22 was bred by good friends Neville and Mona Kirkman and is a tribute to them. She is a thumping, easy fleshing matron who is an absolute delight to work with. She is very treasured here and breeds true.
SHE SELLS OCT 13 2020 AT OUR MATURE COW DISPERSAL. Jean H215 is our most special cow who is very much the beating heart of our herd. She is the dam of Newsflash who sold to Bannaby in our 2018 sale for $28,000 and Jean K80 who produced the $32,000 high selling bull from our 2017 Sale Metamorphic. Jean H215 is not a big cow but she packs a hell of a punch on her progeny with her calves nearly equalling her weight every weaning. We are fortunate to have a string of magnificent daughters including M30 and P59 who will follow in her footsteps.
